On-ground classes helped save Northwest from cuts to faculty, staff

Northwest is not among the scores of public universities that decided to operate primarily online this academic year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In doing so, the University may have saved itself from cuts to faculty or staff, among other things, to make ends meet.

COVID-19 vaccine distribution: nearly 700 were administered at a mass clinic

The first mass vaccination clinic held by Mosaic Medical Center - Maryville, the University and Nodaway County Health Department successfully vaccinated roughly 700 Maryville residents with 500 Pfizer vaccines.

Help A Hero
VFW has 'put me through my doctorate degree'

With the help of VFW's Sports Clips Help A Hero Scholarship, a marine vet went back to school to obtain his Doctorate Degree in Ministry. He hopes to rehabilitate prisoners as they are intregrated back into society

Airman is 'Thankful and Blessed' for Help a Hero Scholarship

Traevonne Greene is one of many veterans who has received funding from the Help a Hero Scholarship provided by VFW. Greene plans to use this scholarship to make his dreams of being in the entertainment business come true.
